Y-S is an artist hailing from Cleveland USA, creating music from the young age of eleven the artist is a throwback to the days of true Hip Hop, displaying incredible lyrical offerings with his music. His latest EP, showcases exactly why this artist is one to watch in the industry.
EP opener “Unforgettable” is a beautifully produced song, mixed perfectly well. With some old school R&B style layered backing vocals, the artists hops on the beat floating with lyrical ease as he provides the listener with some serious food for thought.
“Members Only” is more of an uptempo banger, a club ready energetic song, the artists swag hits maximum here, some smooth vocals reverse reverb adds to the swanky feel of the record, this is natural confidence at it’s best.
“Red Light” is a dreamy track that has some wonderful collaborative vocals. The next song entitled “The One” is a vocal heavy offering where the artists distinct baritone tone make for a refreshing interlude on the project.
‘State 2 State, brings out some nice trap vibes, with a killer hook and chorus and the song is easily one of the catchiest songs on the EP.
“Never stop me” is a transparent offering that covers themes of lust and relationship woes. We then finally enter the concluding song “Eastside” a dark Hip Hop song, with some serious bars from the artists.
Overall Y-S has truly brought his A game here, this is some of his very best work, we're sure his fans and followers will agree.
