Stephen Jacques is preparing for the release of his latest album and in particular his lead single "LEFT L.A." a dark ballad that take a closer look at the reality of plastic surgery and falseness of the world that surrounds us.
The single absolutely follows in traditional Stephen Jacques flow, direct and edgy vocals, accompanied by bluesy guitar riffs, church organs and rolling drums. The artist does a great job at creating lyrical imagery here, as some female vocals flood the background in reverb, adding a haunting feel to the songs chorus and bridge section.
We get a wonderful instrumental break from the 03:10 mark which showcases the songs melody and provides listeners with an opportunity to reflect on the words and lyrics delivered by the artist. The song is a clear highlight on the album and an enjoyable listen from start to finish.
