JOVANNA is a twenty one year old artist from Pembroke Pines, Florida. Specialising in the realm of R&B, she debuted her first single earlier this year to much acclaim from listeners and industry tastemakers.
Her latest follow up offering is entitled “TwentyOne” is a showcase of classic Pop. JOVANNA expresses some serious talent here for making such a catchy and enjoyable radio ready bop.
The artists sings about the reality of impending adulthood that quickly arrives without a welcoming announcement. Everything that she sings about seems incredibly relatable in addition to being sung brilliantly with some funky Ohh Ohhs backing vocals. A fabulous storyteller JOVANNA combines her quirky and distinct lyrical style with some blended power vocals, that appear in the later second half of the song.
Most impressively the artist is not one to hide her insecurities on this record. Picking up the pace as the song progresses with some delicious vocal harmonies and clock ticking instrumentals. The definitive high note at 03:18 makes for a wonderful conclusive ending. “TwentyOne” is the follow up we were all waiting for and JOVANNA did not disappoint.
