Big O is an artist that needs no introduction, his recent collaboration projects have been nothing short of spectacular, the producer brings an array of variating elegant Hip Hop production. Now returning with his debut EP “Midnight Journey” on Chill Ghost Records.
The three track EP entitled “Midnight City”is a classic showcase in elite level production. Opener “Road Trip” is a stunning electric guitar infused single, a cruising laid back introduction that eases the listener into the EP.
“Between Space & Time” is yet another soulful offer of elegance. Laid back, smooth and transfixing from start to end, Big O basks in his realm of production excellence. Although the shortest track of the EP, nothing is wasted with every beating second of the track hitting all the right notes.
Concluding track “Arrival” is easily the most experimental song, reflective tones and dreamy floating drum patterns create a truly atmospheric closing. Overall a classic and memorable debut from the producer.
